We cater to dance professionals, dance studio owners, and are open to the general public who are interested in learning more about different Latin genres, and dance. Ataca Jorge “ATACA” Burgos is from Puerto Rican decent and naturally, dance and music have been a huge part of his life. He began his professional dance career in 2006, and has since won over the hearts of hundreds of thousands of people with his charismatic smile, wonderful dancing ability and style. Along with Tanja “La Alemana” and his dance team Island Touch, he has traveled the world performing at Latin Dance festivals, concerts and TV programs. His and his dance team’s videos have accumulated over 500,000,000 views on YouTube, FaceBook and Instagram. Jorge is not only known for his unbelievable dancing ability, style, and charismatic smile, but also for his incredible teaching ability. His classes are always filled with great instruction that is easy to follow, is high energy and filled with lots of laughter. Some are great dancers, and others great instructors – Jorge is both. Already an iconic and legendary Latin dancer, in 2016 Jorge embarked on another artistic journey via acting. He was given the privilege and honor to star in the movie SHINE as the lead male actor. As he continues to grow as an artist and dancer, Jorge’s vision for himself and dance company remain the same, to Touch The World through the arts Alemana Tanja “La Alemana” Kensinger began her dancing career in April of 2005, and has since made a name for herself in the Salsa & Bachata dance communities. With her partner, Jorge Burgos (ATACA Jorgie), they have become one of the most recognizable couples in the Bachata scene; and they have traveled to over 25 different countries teaching and performing Bachata. Their world famous routine to “Te Extrano” by Xtreme, has taken the Bachata world by storm. Tanja’s dance background includes training in Ballet, Jazz, Tap, and Ballroom; she commands the dance floor on and off stage with her high energy and infectious smile.

HIGHLIGHT
For the first time in 7 years, Cleveland's Latin Gala is excited to present a spectacular full live Bachata band concert plus a solo performance during the Saturday Gala.
Los Internacionales joins us from New York City, NY. The Los Internacionales has offered to assist Edwin M. Ferreras in the musicality workshop and will demonstrate live instruments and how they work within Bachata songs.
We are so fortunate to not only see them, hear them live in concert, but to actually have the opportunity to get up close. Saturday workshops and Gala evening are not to be missed!
If this wasn't enough, lovely Dakhota Romero from Los Angeles, CA will accompany the band throughout the night and present her own solo performance.

This event is a Safe Space. Everyone who attends must agree to these rules. Anyone who violates these rules will be subject to immediate action per the below terms.
At the Latin Gala Fest, presented by Gala Events Cleveland, we value the health, safety and well-being of all our guests, and we expect that the event will be free from harassment and disrespectful or inappropriate (verbal or non-verbal) behavior. We rely on our attendees to prioritize the comfort and enjoyment of everyone around them, remembering that tango is best danced in an environment of openness and trust.
We therefore expect that guests will:
- Refrain from coercive or persistent invitations
- Refrain from following, stalking, or monopolizing other attendees
- Not engage in disrespectful, uninvited, or inappropriate touch, on or off the dance floor
- Hear and respect the verbal and non-verbal communication of partners
- Not use threatening or discriminatory language
- Recognize and protect the boundaries of others
- Respect the entrance etiquette, flow of the dance floor
- Not dance in a way that endangers yourself, your partner or others on the dance floor
- Not engage in any form of harassment*
Gala Events Cleveland takes harassment very seriously and is committed to maintaining a safe and peaceful event. We will act promptly to address behavior that violates our code of conduct. If you believe you have been subjected to (or have witnessed) such behavior, you are encouraged to contact Dzenana (Jenny) Konjic - event organizer.
All reports will be reviewed. Potential actions may include education about consent, removal from the event, or legal action in accordance with applicable laws.
Harassment includes offensive verbal comments (related to gender, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race or religion), sexual images in public spaces, deliberate intimidation, stalking, following, harassing photography or recording, sustained disruption of the event, inappropriate physical contact and unwelcome sexual attention.
